R/D; R:D, BUNNY CREW++

R/D apparel is influenced by the wide range of pop culture from 90s anime to hip hop while paying tribute to the neighborhoods of SAN DIEGO and the history and culture of the Filipin@ (American) community. During the summer of 2007 Rawfiki, e[dot], and Pil1 constantly pitched ideas to each other designs that would bring different perspectives into streetwear clothing. At the end of that summer, they decided to venture into showcasing their ideas and talents by releasing a clothing line. R/D apparel focuses on refreshing the outlook on urban streetwear by offering simplistic, conscious, and political designs.

Most see SAN DIEGO as the 70 degree vacation they escape to, but to those who reside in the 619/858/760, the intersection of military sercivefolks and their seeds, surfers, skaters, out of town college kids, warm weather fans and immigrants brings the best and worst of each culture. But this exact culture mixing inspires and influences the ideas and creativity behind R/D Apparel.
